About Fr. Ryan Ruiz

Fr. Ryan Ruiz is a priest of the Archdiocese of Cincinnati and currently serves as Vice Rector, Director of Formation, Director of Liturgy, Director of Apostolic Works, and Associate Professor of Liturgy and Sacraments at Mount St. Mary’s Seminary & School of Theology (The Athenaeum of Ohio), Cincinnati. In 2011, Fr. Ruiz was assigned to graduate studies in Rome, Italy, where he received his doctorate in Sacred Liturgy from the Pontifical Liturgical Institute of Sant’Anselmo in 2016. In January 2020, Fr. Ruiz was appointed a consultant to the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops’ Committee on Divine Worship. He is a member of the Society for Catholic Liturgy, a scholarly and professional organization dedicated to the promotion of the sacred liturgy, and has served on its Board of Directors since 2023. Fr. Ruiz has been a visiting lecturer at the Liturgical Institute (University of St. Mary of the Lake, Chicago), the Catholic University of America (Washington, D.C.), and the Institute for Liturgical Formation (Christendom College, Front Royal, Virginia), and is the author of several scholarly works.
