About Sr. Mary Catherine Blanding, IHM

Sister Mary Catherine is a Sister of the Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary of Wichita. An alumna of Thomas Aquinas College in Santa Paula, CA, she holds both a Masters in Religious Education from the Angelicum in Rome as well as a Masters in Philosophy from the Catholic University of America in Washington, DC. Having taught for years as a high school teacher in Wichita, as well as in college, she presently teaches college philosophy to her community’s novices, does ongoing spiritual direction with lay women, and gives presentations. She has just completed the private history of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Sisters of Wichita and in the past has published articles in various periodicals, including the Homiletic & Pastoral Review.
